The Action For School Quality Initiative (ASQi) HCPS survey is an anonymous district-wide survey of licensed school-based educators.

Teaching conditions in schools are important for many reasons. Whether it’s their relationship to student learning or their strong influence on teacher retention, research continues to affirm that these data matter. The 2018-2019 school year marks the seventh administration of a teaching conditions survey in our district and the results have proven to be very helpful in improving outcomes across the district.

This year's Action for School Quality Initiative (ASQi) survey documented the collective voices of educators, determining structural strengths and improvement opportunities for our schools and the district. The vendor of the 2019 survey is the Center for Optimal Learning Environments (COLE). COLE is a national organization whose mission is to connect research-based strategies and best practices with key decision makers to transform school learning environments..
